Coach Ray

Ray is a dedicated coach with many years of experience developing young hockey players in the Junior Rangers Learn to Play Program and Rookie League Series presented by the NHL and the NY Rangers.

Ray is a dedicated coach with many years of experience developing young hockey players in the Junior Rangers Learn to Play Program and Rookie League Series presented by the NHL and the NY Rangers. 


A strong believer in player-centered coaching, Ray's philosophy shines through when it comes to  balancing a fun yet challenging practice environment. 


His focus is on repetition, quick decision-making, maximizing puck touches, and supporting both individual skill-development and teamwork. 


Certified by USA Hockey CEP and the New York State Amateur Hockey Association, and also CPR trained, Ray holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia University. 


In his spare time you can catch him playing in several mens leagues in the NYC area, watching all forms of hockey and camping upstate with his fiancé Anna.

Alex is a Brooklyn-bred hockey player, who started playing travel hockey for the Cyclones at age 12. Eventually he moved on to play Tier 1 for the Connecticut Jr Rangers 16U National Team. He is going into his second year of junior hockey in the USPHL, playing for the Red Bank Generals Premier Team, in Red Bank, New Jersey. 


Alex joins us 

Alex is a Brooklyn-bred hockey player, who started playing travel hockey for the Cyclones at age 12. Eventually he moved on to play Tier 1 for the Connecticut Jr Rangers 16U National Team. Alex joins us as an Assistant Coach this season, focused on mentoring and inspiring our young athletes in their journey toward becoming the NEXT generation of NYC-based  hockey talent! 


With the rink at Prospect Park just steps from his childhood home, he considers it the closest you get to growing up with  a full size rink in your own backyard!


Alex is most  grateful to his parents and older brother for all they've done to support him and contribute to his passion for the game and continued pursuit of success on and off the ice!

Matt is a former U.S. Marine, who knows a thing or two about optimized training and achieving peak physical fitness! 


As our resident 'Kid Fitness' coach Matt's mission is to empower our young athletes to achieve their health and fitness goals through a comprehensive range of fitness challenges and training.

In addition to group training sessions, dynamic dryland classes and one-to-one training, tailored for all levels, his focus is on holistic wellness that nurtures both the body and mind of  all types of athletes.

Hanna was born and raised in Manhattan and developed a love for hockey at an early age, playing with North Park Hockey from age 5 through 14. That early passion for the game has stayed with her ever since, leading her back to North Park—as a coach.

Hanna was born and raised in Manhattan and developed a love for hockey at an early age, playing with North Park Hockey from age 5 through 14. That early passion for the game has stayed with her ever since, leading her back to North Park—as a coach. 

Now a dedicated coach with North Park Hockey, Hanna focuses primarily on working with younger players and girls' teams, emphasizing skill development, confidence, and a strong foundation in the game. She brings both experience and empathy to her coaching, drawing from her academic background in psychology, earned at the University at Buffalo, to connect with players and help them grow on and off the ice. Hanna has her SafeSport Hockey certification and Level 2 USA Hockey Coaching Certification

Rebecca began coaching youth hockey in 2019 and is currently a part of the coaching staff at North Park Hockey. She has a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification, ensuring a strong foundation in player development.

Rebecca began coaching youth hockey in 2019 and is currently a part of the coaching staff at North Park Hockey. She has a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification, ensuring a strong foundation in player development. 


Rebecca is passionate about creating a positive environment where players can thrive both as athletes and as people. She develops her practice plans to promote team work, consistency, and work ethic. Observing the strengths and weakness of her players helps her to see what skills should be addressed during subsequent practices. Each session will continue to build upon the last. The most rewarding part of a season is watching her players improve their skills, build confidence, and foster new friendships.


In addition to her coaching experience, Rebecca holds a Master’s degree from Cornell University and works professionally as an orthopedic surgery physician assistant. This background provides insight into athletic performance, injury prevention, and injury detection. She promotes a healthy lifestyle where nutrition and off ice training enhance performance.

Tom brings a wealth of experience and passion to the ice, having worked with a variety of youth development programs including Future NY Islanders, Ice Hockey in Harlem, North Park Hockey, and several Learn to Play (LTP) initiatives. With a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification, Coach Tom is committed to fostering a positive, inclusiv

Tom brings a wealth of experience and passion to the ice, having worked with a variety of youth development programs including Future NY Islanders, Ice Hockey in Harlem, North Park Hockey, and several Learn to Play (LTP) initiatives. With a Level 4 USA Hockey Coaching Certification, Coach Tom is committed to fostering a positive, inclusive, and skill-focused environment for players of all backgrounds and abilities.

In addition to his extensive coaching experience, Tom is CPR and SafeSport certified, ensuring the highest standards of safety and well-being for all athletes. 


As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, he integrates principles of athletic development and injury prevention into every practice, helping players build strength, agility, and confidence both on and off the ice.


Tom’s coaching philosophy centers on building strong foundational skills—emphasizing skating, puck handling, teamwork, and sportsmanship as the cornerstones of long-term success. By focusing on fundamentals and fostering a love for the game, he aims to empower each player to reach their full potential while enjoying every step of their hockey journey.

Jeff is a native New Yorker who played for the first NYC Cyclones team ever. His hockey background includes playing at prep school, juniors and college hockey in the NCAA. Jeff has over 20 years of coaching experience with age groups ranging from 8U-18U. His philosophy on hockey development focuses on having fun, challenging yourself and

His philosophy on hockey development focuses on having fun, challenging yourself and giving your best effort every time you get on the ice. Jeff currently coaches with North Park Hockey and the NYC Hockey Club

Rose has been a dedicated member of the North Park Hockey coaching staff since 2023 and brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the team. A Level 2 certified coach with USA Hockey, she has been actively coaching both hockey and tennis since 2020, with a strong emphasis on athlete development both on and off the ice.

Rose has been a dedicated member of the North Park Hockey coaching staff since 2023 and brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the team. A Level 2 certified coach with USA Hockey, she has been actively coaching both hockey and tennis since 2020, with a strong emphasis on athlete development both on and off the ice.


Growing up in the hockey-rich community of Red Wing, Minnesota, Rose cultivated a deep passion for the game early in life. That passion led to a successful collegiate career at Princeton University, where she competed at the NCAA Division I level.


Following college, Rose went on to play professionally, joining the Vanke Rays for their inaugural season in 2017–2018, and continued with the team during its transition to the Shenzhen KRS Vanke Rays in the 2018–2019 season. She also skated with both the Minnesota Whitecaps and the New York Riveters in the Premier Hockey Federation (PHF), bringing high-level experience and insight from some of the top women’s hockey programs in the world.


With a strong belief in building well-rounded athletes, Rose is passionate about fostering growth, confidence, and character in every player. Her coaching philosophy centers on skill development, teamwork, and cultivating a love for the game that lasts well beyond the rink.
